DICE Local: Open Discussions About the Future of the Data Center Market
Updated: Dec 10, 2019
Members of the local Data Center Community got together on Wednesday, November 13 for Toronto's DICE Conference, a premium data centre investment conference & expo organized by Bisnow.com
The event— a great opportunity for leaders, enthusiasts, experts and investors to connect and exchange ideas, was hosted at Sungard AS' Markham Data Center location. We were joined by experts on four sessions, on topics such as market maturity, sustainability, scalability and the state of the data center market in Canada.

I had the opportunity to moderate two of the panels on this year's conference, joined by Jamie Leverton and James Beer to discuss capital, development and the evolving Canadian ecosystem during the "State of the Data Center Market" session.

Later, I had the pleasure to talk with Lin Zhu (Scotiabank), Nabeel Mahmood (United Security Bank) and Kirby Peters (BMO), in a "Financial Services Deep Dive", evaluating scalability, sustainability and the Enterprise Perspective in the Cloud Age.

We enjoyed the company of peers such as Sean Maskell, President, Canada for Cologix, as well as Thomas Perkins VP, Data Center Operations & Real Estate for Sungard Availability Services.
